Goldfish – Choose Your Own Adventure

We were very excited to get a call from South African dance titans Goldfish, looking to collaborate with us on a video. Anyone familiar with the bands incredibly impressive history of brilliant videos will know why it was a real compliment to have the band knocking on our door.

Creating a video for the bands song “Choose Your Own Adventure” we combined 2D animations with brilliant live footage of the band doing what they do best. Shot by Final Kid at Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam, the footage created a great foundation for the video. Editing the footage together and crafted the animated overlays, we aimed to create a piece that matched the feel good mood of the song and celebrated the phenomenal live performances Goldfish are famous for.

After completing the video, a request came in for us to visually remix the piece to match a rework of the song by Kyle Watson. We were happy to run the video back through the CYJ magic-machine and look forward to future opportunities to work with this exceptional South African act!
